My department switched from the SSIII to the ALS. At the beginning I was a little hesitant about the change since the way in which you draw the gun is very different on the two holster.
I have had the ALS for about a year and half and I really like it. It doesn't wear out, specially on the thumb flap used to open the SSIII.

I have the ALS holster and think it is the best out there. It's easy to draw, and never have to worry about breaking it in.
